Sat., 9/15/12
We spent most of the day at the Indian Mounds and their Yearly Celebration. We learned a little about the language, clothing, customs, and dances of the Indians who were originally from the USA (several different tribes from all of North America). We danced with the Indians! We learned that the women were the head of the household, as well as the tribe, but that decisions were made on concensus, not by vote, so that everyone's voice could be heard. There was also some talk of conserving our natural resources, honoring the fallen, and respecting those who came before us.

Today was our second day of homeschool this yr. We played games with Daddy that tought us to share and work together, as well as how to predict an out come. Mommy spent all day planning the next two wks. Of our education.
Mon., 9/17/12
Today, along w/ being our third day of homeschool for this year (we were delayed due to an impromptu move), we had a doctor's appointment for BabyJ. Mommy was ready with crayons and coloring sheets of the Brown Thrasher (Ga bird), and Teeth and Gums. We learned the Georgia song, the pledge, that we should brush our teeth (read Henry and the Sugar Bugs), and were introduced to our 10 vocabulary words. We played Math Bingo.
Tue., 9/18/12
Today, we reviewed our Vocabulary, said the pledge, did 9 math problems (2+ one through nine), sang the Georgia song, learned about the Ga state flower (Cherokee Rose), and the capital (Atlanta). We also listened to Georgia On My Mind. We read Henry and the Sugar Bugs, played math bingo and letter bingo. We also played the rhythm game with Mommy, had fun w/ a few educational web sites, and played a counting game on line.
Wed., 9/19/12
Today, we reviewed our vocabulary, traced our hands and made hand wreaths (glue can be messy), watched a video about aardvarks, practiced the plede, sang the Georgia song, and read walking Through the Jungle by Debbie Horter... Later, Jr. Will be playing Math Bingo, and Alphabet Match. Ah, the internet makes homeschooling much simpler than it used to be.
